Based on Debra Dixon’s popular and uber-helpful Goal Motivation and Conflict (GMC) book (Gryphon Books), the Nuts and Bolts of GMC is for authors at any stage in their writing to further hone their crafting skills. In a lot of ways, GMC is the heart and soul of story. This interactive workshop will help authors understand the basics at the root of this excellent characterization tool and learn how to apply the concepts to their own stories. At the end of the class, participants will walk away with their own GMC statements for their work in progress. At the end, participants will also learn how to apply GMC to their own career aspirations as an author.

The class did have good notes for each lesson that were easy to follow however there was no feedback to homework exercises. Was disappointed with the lack of feedback. Would think twice about doing another class with this instructor after two disappointments.
