GREATVILLAINSSMITH
A great Villain may kill your heroine - but nothing kills a story faster than a weak antagonist.
In this course we will explore different types of Antagonists: anti-heroines, seducers, pirate queens and rebels, bumblers, psychos, vampires, ghosts and aliens, and more.
Learn to use back-story, world view, and the Lure of the Dark Side to create rich, compelling opposition for your heroines.
Examine ways to Confront the Dark Side and learn how to select the most appropriate ways for your heroine.
Writing exercises will include scene variations in character descriptions and in confrontation styles to familiarize you with many options for creating Great Villains and Villainesses.

This class on villains had excellent material on all types of villains. I found it an excellent class to push me to analyze the antagonists in books I had already read. I also appreciated the instructor's feedback on my writing though I was unable to write a lot because of the holidays and company. I look forward to taking another of Ms. Smith's classes in the future. She makes you write and reads it all with supportive feedback.
