Whether you want to write a long-term mystery series, a romance saga featuring one or two families or a fantasy trilogy that spans time and space, the joy of writing a series can be both challenging and rewarding. Readers may fall in love with one book and then want to read more with those characters, or they may want to read more about the small town setting where everyone is involved with everyone else’s business. Writing a series can be fun for the reader, but it can also be enjoyable for the writer--if you know how to do it.

How do you keep track of the story lines, the characters and the history of the location? How do you develop characters who are individual in each story? How do you come up with plots that are unique for different books? What if you want to write a trilogy where the entire story wraps up after three volumes? Or how can you make it open ended so you can write as many entries to the series as you want? Writing a series can require a lot of instant answers, but help is available.

You can learn how to create characters who are unique to each plot line and how to create others who can take part in more than one story.

Learn how to plot for each individual story or how to build an overarching series that can be wrapped up in two or three books. Learn how to write a multipart mystery or romance series that can span as long and far as you like from a romance and mystery author who has not only studied series development for years, but who has also developed several series of her own.
