I love the Flash Fiction contests. I think it's a great concept and a good exercise to help writers practice ideation and execution quickly. My only complaint was the utter lack of participation. Not only were there only 3 participants, but also only 4 votes. Meaning that if we don't count the 3 participants, since we can assume they all voted, there was literally one person who took the time to vote. Hopefully they at least read all the stories and didn't just vote for their friend's entry. But even if that's not the case, it doesn't address the fact that the entire contest hinged on literally one person's preferences. Something needs to be done to get more participation and voting.
