Memorable characters are not built so much as they are born and grow organically in the mind of the author. And we connect with characters not so much because of their appearance, even if it is beautifully described in a book, but because of their personalities.
Indeed, most of us create our own images of these characters which may even be at variance with the description in the book, but the personality is what sticks with us.
This course is about understanding your character from the inside out. We will bring a perspective from the fields of both psychodynamic and cognitive psychology.
