A great book that receives little or no reviews will sell poorly. A mediocre book that has lots of reviews will sell. That leads us to the fact that books need to be reviewed. But how do you go about getting reviews? If you want the answer to this, then this is a must workshop for you.

Here are some of the points I’ll be covering in this two week workshop:

· The do’s and don’ts of getting reviewed

· How to ask for reviews

· Who to ask for reviews

· How to use social media to get your book reviewed

· What to do so giveaways lead to book reviews

· Pay-for-review websites: good or bad?

· How to build a mailing list that leads to reviews

· How to build a launch team that leads to reviews

· Pros and cons of Goodread groups

· How to reach out to book bloggers
Class Format
Savvy Authors' workshops are held on a forum: a bulletin board based system. You will receive a reminder notice one day prior to the start of the workshop that includes instructions on how to access the workshop forum. If you have not received instructions by the day the workshop begins, please check your spam filter.

The forum will be available the morning (EST) of the day the workshop starts and will remain accessible to all participants thereafter. You will also be given simple instructions on how to create a PDF of all your discussions along with our privacy and data retention policy.

I appreciate that the instructor gave a lot of different ideas. It was nice to have a variety of things since different tactics might be more appropriate depending on where the author is in their career, plus people have different preferences and approaches they're comfortable with.
A thorough, organized, and clearly communicated class with lots of ideas and examples. LC was helpful in answering any questions asked.
I didn't get any new information out of this. I'd seen all these ideas in various blog posts before and I didn't have to pay for them. I didn't get any real insight, just the same ideas and suggestions.
