PRIVATEEYEMORRIS2019
Being or writing a P.I. is a lot more than just sneaking around or wiretapping phones. The details of how to track targets without being noticed, how to determine what is relevant to any investigation, and where and when suspects will appear can be critical to your story. Jimmy has years of experience as a P.I., along with his writing experience, so he knows exactly what you need to write your perfect P.I.

Jimmy will delve into private investigations and show you,

  • What a PI does,
  • The characteristics that make a GREAT and believable PI,
  • Past and present—the way technology has changed the world of the private eye,
  • How they interact with the court system and law enforcement,
  • What cases PI’s won’t touch and why.
Students are invited to submit a short scene for the instructor or the group for feedback.

I really loved learning from Jimmy and hope to take another class with him again! He answered my many questions and has made himself available beyond class, which I really appreciate! The ONLY reason I didn't give him a perfect rating is that I kind of feel like class ended abruptly. I'm used to instructors giving a final wrap up, including reminders about when the last day to submit questions is, and we still had a day or two of class left, I think.
But as far as the material, Jimmy's responsiveness, his humor, and his patience with my plethora of questions? AWESOME!
I found the information to be very interesting and helpful but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't one final check-in from the instructor at the end of the class. I would have given 5 stars had there been. I posted some "homework" on Friday and was hoping for some feedback but there was never any more comments after that even though there were 2 official days of "class" left. Perhaps I just got lost in the shuffle. But, I'm definitely going to put into practice some of the helpful suggestions and tips in my writing in the future. Thank you for making this class available.
