PARANORMALDANIELS2022
What do you do when the victim or perpetrator of a crime isn't exactly fully human anymore...or maybe never was? Definitely a conundrum for your sleuth or the cops! Be they vampire, werebeing, zombie, mage, demon, old god, troll, elf, or what have you, this is the workshop that takes them on and beats 'em back!

If you thought the attraction of the paranormal world was waning, you don't know how difficult it can be to kill a paranormal or reader's interest in it. The sleuth still needs to sort out the who, what, where, when, how, and why of a crime, but if the perp's answer is, "I just needed a nosh to tie me over", well, that is just irritating, and the thing needs to be taken down before they do much more noshing about town. Right? So, how are you going to do it?

While there are traditional ways to kill or banish things that aren't human, traditional can be boring. In this workshop, we not only take on how to solve the paranormal crime but how to take the perp down. Let's face it, there are no laws on the books related to paranormals, and there are very few cells that would keep them contained if arrested. It isn't just the urban fantasy, Gaslamp Fantasy, and paranormal romance tales that have mystery in their plot lines. In fact, a paranormal mystery can dip further back in the past or leap into the future as well. Flights of fancy are encouraged, and no Buffy type experience is required for you to take a bite out of this market.

This class provided great info on writing a paranormal mystery with various examples. I regret not being able to participate due to work. I'm now playing catch up and glad to have these lectures as a resource. I would definitely take another class with Beth.
