WORLDPEACE2020
This course focuses on everything you'll need to build a world from the ground up. Whether you're a newbie or an experienced author looking to brush up on your skills, Why Worldbuilding (is the Secret Ingredient) will navigate you through one of the hardest and most rewarding parts of the writing process.

Over the four-week course, we’ll explore some of storytelling’s lushest worlds—from Westeros to Hogwarts with a few unexpected stops in-between—and break them down into easily digestible concepts you can use to beef up your stories and give them the punch that will set them apart.

I signed up for this world building class last minute and so glad that I did. It’s my first class with her and will definitely not be my last. I found this class to be very informative and Catherine a truly exceptional instructor who was incredibly generous with lecture material. She provided many thought-provoking questions and tips. I found this to be super helpful in bringing my world to a whole other level. In addition, she provided various examples in different mediums along with outside resources to refer to for broader understanding. Gave great feedback on homework. Incredibly motivating! This worldbuilding class is invaluable and deserves so much more than five stars.
I think there was some good information but it was a lot of information all at once that I wish had been broken up into some smaller lessons maybe more frequently. I also wish some of the examples had been made up for the class vs using existing material that the audience may or may not know. I found some of the examples i wasn't familiar with the source material for, a bit hard to follow. I was also hoping for more of a deeper dive into how to sprinkle worldbuilding into dialogue, internal thoughts etc vs info dumping. And would have liked more lessons to actively try some of the techniques in each lesson.
