I am a writer and editor with more than twenty years’ experience in the publishing industry. After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in creative writing, I moved to New York to pursue a career in publishing. In the 13 years that followed, I acquired, edited, and/or published more than 60 books with HarperCollins and DK Publishing, including three New York Times best sellers. I then joined the Peace Corps as an English teacher and development specialist in Armenia. Upon completion of my two-year service, I joined The Asia Foundation to launch a children’s digital library initiative called Let’s Read, for which I acquired and edited children’s books and conducted authoring workshops in developing Asia. A little more than two years ago, I decided to hang a shingle as a writer- and editor-for-hire. In this capacity, I have edited/coached/assessed more than fifty manuscripts and co-authored two projects, one a MG humor novel, the other a music-novel hybrid. Squire Peri and the Wizards Three is my first solo publishing project.
