I grew up in the beautiful Goldstream Valley outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. There the woods were my playground and an inspiration for my imagination. I became a Christian when I was eleven. Since then my writing has become increasingly God-inspired. I graduated with an English degree from the University of Alaska.
Later I moved to Washington, the state of my birth. I studied Creative Writing in graduate school and received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Washington.
I taught various places in the Puget Sound area, finally settling on Whidbey Island where I self-published the book I wrote for my masters thesis, Guardian of the Gauntlet. My readers wanted more than this one book, so I published two more in the same trilogy. I am now working on a fourth book to follow the last series. This book will start a new series titled The Gauntlet Chronicles.
When I’m not writing, I like to sing, do needlecrafts, and walk my dog, a Japanese Spitz named Haley.
