Born and raised as a black kid in Dublin Ireland, I spent much of my youth being out of place, playing basketball, reading comics, video gaming and creating stories (usually to get out of trouble.)
I am of African American and Irish ancestry, having also lived in South Africa as a Latter-Day Saint missionary.
I love constructive and negative criticisms! It helps my work and provides me with a different perspective.
I have the ability to take direction, work hard and work smart; it's apart of my nature, something that greatly helped me as a volunteer missionary in Africa.
I believe what I have to offer as a writer is grossly underrepresented; a black man raised with the experience of multiple cultures and a broad and unique perspective of the world.
Studies show that published black voices only represent less than 2% in the speculative fiction genre, I want to increase this number. I have what it takes to make it in this industry and I'm hungry for hard work and lasting success.
