Joanne White

J. M. White founded and published SCRYE Magazine: The Guide to Collectible Card Games, and CRYPTYCH Magazine for RPG enthusiasts. In past pursuits, she’s been a DJ and an Arts Editor, and the lead writer for the online food and wine magazine, Fork & Bottle as a specialist in artisan cheese, and biodynamic and organic food. In 2023, she was chosen as the Best New Writer at Futurescapes. She is an alumna of the NorCal Writer’s Retreats, an award winner of 2022 Daphne du Maurier & Olive Woolley Burt Awards, and has been a finalist in a number of other writing contests including the 2022 & 2023 Claymore. An active member of the HWA, ITW, HNS, and Codex, she also organizes a private Discord writing group of aspiring authors. She has a passion for vintage and antique jewelry, heirloom vegetables, indie perfume, silversmithed rings, and classic films. White lives in wine country with her game-designing husband, son, and two Bengal cats. She is forever and always Hunting Dragons.
