I’m an author, a trick dog trainer, and founder of an award-winning, 55K-follower blog promoting women writers, The Gloria Sirens. Former co-director of the Other Words writing conference and a member of Sisters in Crime since 2018, I’m the author of a memoir, For the Love of a Dog, and my psychological mystery, Body Sharers, made top-five finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Foundation Award. Other honors include the Briar Cliff Review Nonfiction Award, The Florida Review Editor’s Award, finalist for the Frank McCourt Memoir Prize, and a Best American Essay Notable Essay.
