Hi, my name is Pam. My two greatest loves are God and family. My passions? I have many—ocean waves, the desert after the rain, and hugs from my grandchildren. Full moons and star gazing are right up there with the smell of fresh ground coffee. Hearing my favorite tunes while driving with the windows down can put a smile on my face. The touch of a new book or journal and planning a road trip makes my heart beat faster.
I am a grandmother of five beautiful, bright, witty, and big-hearted grandchildren. I am a widow after 29 years of marriage, a published author of one tiny book (Full Circle), and a college graduate with a bachelor's degree in Applied Business. A musician and lover of jigsaw puzzles, word games, Scrabble, and Jeopardy. I dream of heaven and let my imagination soar. I also dream of long drives along the coast in a convertible (red preferably) with the wind blowing through my hair and music streaming through my ears. I love Summer nights, doves cooing, and my fingers flying across my laptop with my favorite iced coffee by my side.
My hope while on this place called Earth is for a long life of love, joy, good health, and contentment. Days of peace and laughter. Nights without loneliness, "what-ifs," and regrets. An assurance in knowing my anchor will hold when life's seas get rough. Not because I'm strong enough but because God is. What more could a girl ask for in this life?
Living in the great southwest, near my two kids, five grandchildren, and my mom, reminds me daily how lucky I am. Having a wonderful church and a pastor who loves his congregation reminds me of my blessedness. Being able to return to work after being semi-retired reminds me of my gratitude. And the ability to write my stories in my free time simply for the joy of storytelling keeps me dreaming and hoping.
Even though my dream of being the type of novelist that can pump out two books a year has yet to happen, I am content writing a little every day. I love honing my skills in hopes that one day, my stories will be on the shelves of bookstores and homeowners alike.
Everyone has a story. Some have twists and turns, and some are daily displays of energy and excitement. Most, however, are simple and average, just going about their day trying to do better than the day before. But everyone has a story, and every story is unique. One thing I've learned is that life rarely turns out the way you plan or even hope. But it always turns out the way it's supposed to…eventually.
