I was born and raised in East L.A. After college I was with the Peace Corps and spent two years in a small African village teaching school by day and reading and writing by candlelight at night. Before retiring, I was Director of Development for the City of Winston-Salem. Now I write full-time and teach part-time with the local community college. My first novel, The Cottage on the Bay, was published by Moonshine Cove Publishing and came out in 2018 and my second book, Murder on Black Mountain, the first in a series, came out in 2020 from Fire Star Press. The second book in my Black Mountain Mystery series came out by Indigo Sea Press in 2022, and the third book in the series came out this June 2023. I also have a Mystery/Thriller book under contract to be released in July 2024. I belong to several writer’s groups including the NC Writers Network,
