Susan Burns

My first career was teaching general sciences to junior high school students for several decades, during which I won a creativity award from PA State for a program I designed for gifted youth.

Two masters degrees (applied mathematics) funded by creativity fellowships awarded by the National Science Foundation--and research, some of it published in a scientific juried journal--educated my status as a scientific generalist.

Did corporate stints as an engineer, designing materials for the aerospace and drip crop industries.

I use my research into a low energy expanding 2D universe to develop themes for my sci-fi romance novels.
