I struggle with setting, so this class really helped show not only what I should write, but what doesn't need to be written. The class really took a look at setting from many different angles. So helpful!

I really enjoyed all the specific examples provided for openings and the close read of just the first few sentences to really see how the authors were able to convey tone, character, and emotion by careful word choice.

It was also fun to read classmates openings!
