I am writing a novel for the first time and have just started. I feel like I can't be the first person to start writing and want to have someone read over what they wrote and give their honest opinion. The novel is a drama based on some time I spent in drug and alcohol rehab. Please let me know if anyone is interested. You can also find a partner at on-line critique groups. Two that I've used are Critique Circle and Ladies Who Critique (it was started by ladies, but you don't have to be a lady to join!). Googling "critique groups" will give you many more choices.

I've also found www.TheNextBigWriter.com to be helpful. It's a community of writers (some good, some not so good), all of whom critique one another's writing for points (which you garner from critiquing others).
