Woo Hoo, we have a winner! Congratulations to @MSTufail for Fake Married! Our Special Valentine's Day Flash Fiction Contest winner!
MS will receive the accolades of their peers and be showcased in this week's Weekly News and best of all, be able to choose our prompt for Monday's new...
This is adorable! I'm with Rose, the kiss sealed it for me, too. I also liked the nod to her wondering if he hated her. I'd play that up more and let his helping her be more unexpected, but this was super cute and very fun. Great job.
Wow, I did not expect this. This was a wonderful story and very sad, but also hopeful. That the young man could stop wandering and find his people, but the old man still has to keep going on, maybe helping other souls. Makes me wonder what he did that he paying penance for? Great job!
We had some great stories this round! And we have two winners!

I am so sorry!!! I was OOO last week and things got a bit confused in the handoff.
Woot woot!!!
I will move the stories over tonight and you will learn...
This is a lovely story. Well done and emotionally moving without being trite. It's one of those stories that feel's 'sticky', in the sense that I will remember it. I think Jim has some good suggestions. I also think it is very good as-is. Hope you go on with this one and sell it. Nice job!
Our winner for our first Flash Fiction contest of 2024 is.....
@T.E. Bradford for Celestial Beach!
Congratulations :party: @T.E. Bradford
I'll be in contact for your prompt for our next contest. We are skipping a week to get back in our sync with alternating weeks...
Hi Tracy and welcome!
You are in good company here. There are a lot of us who are at the point where we do write but don't seem to be able to fully commit. I've been having good results with the Flash Fiction contests we run every two weeks. Writing Flash has been keeping me actually writing now...
Or maybe 1/2 of a year since we started Fortnight Flash Fiction in July! I want to take a moment to congratulate all our winners from our last flash of the year. @Dawn_McClure and I thought this fun contest would be a way to help us all keep writing and I think, at least for me, it has! Now, in...
Hello all and hope everyone had a great Turkey Day (for those here in the US!).
We have two winners this round and they are both previouis winners! It's wonderful to see everyone using the contest to keep writing and keep winning!!
This week we have @T.E. Bradford for her wonderful story...
Definitely check out this delightful story:
UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES by AliceO
You, too, can participate in the next Fortnight Flash Fiction contest that starts monday!
November 13 - November 26 Fortnight Flash Fiction Contest
Such a great story. Very cute and I loved the ending. I'm on the fence with the structure. It was a bit jarring going from one to the next but I think you pulled it off. Maybe a bit more polish but I very much like this.
Hi Jeigh!
I am so sorry to hear about your group and the death of a member. That must have been devastating.
Like Jodi says with Nano going on it's likely a bit quiet now. If you are looking for Crit Partners, we run a partner match every two weeks. It's still a bit small but might help you...
Hi everyone
Well this session's Fortnight Flash Fiction winners are...
@T.E. Bradford for Home Sweet Home and @dkoren-cimharas.com for Shut Down!
These are both great stories and I enjoyed them immensely! Congrats you two! You are both fabulous Flash Authors!!!
Now what am I going to about...
