Hi all,

Because I didn't add a sticky to my previous week's goals announcement, it went to the bottom of the list. I don't think a lot of you saw it.

So, this week, I would like you think of this month, and the new quarter, as well as this week's writing goals. Please take the time to do this reflective assignment. It is crucially important to your success as writers.

Hi all,

We are about to start the second quarter of the year. So, it is time to look back and forward.

Here are a few questions for you to consider and then answer them in this thread below.

1. How did you do on your first quarter goals?
  • What did you complete?
  • What has been left undone?
  • Which goals do you need to transfer into the next quarter?
2. What are your goals for the next quarter?

3. What are your goals for this week?

That is it ladies! Have a good week!

1. How did you do on your first quarter goals?
  • What did you complete? I did the boot camp in February, which after reviewing the writing I am pleased with the results. And I maintained pretty much keeping up with wordWonders despite some opposition with life encounters. ;) I also lost some weight and refined my health goals despite my setback that I had with my concussion. Those were my biggies.
  • What has been left undone? The biggest was that I did not get around to submitting my work as I had planned.
  • Which goals do you need to transfer into the next quarter? Submitting my projects as I had planned in the last quarter. And revamping my health goals and losing weight.
2. What are your goals for the next quarter? The above and completing 3 e-books.

3. What are your goals for this week? 1. Complete my 3rd query and edit my second one. 2. Submit my novel 3. start my new health regimen using the Mayo Clinic Diet. 4. Start decluttering the areas I spend time in.

1. How did you do on your first quarter goals?

I'm on track.
  • What did you complete?
Got my website coded and up and my social media in order.
Got my proofreads into my publisher.
Hosted a Safari Expedition and an Immersion at my house.
Structured one novel at Expedition.
  • What has been left undone?
Still working on my social media class. There's a lot of material. I need to get content lined up for posting on the various medias. Only so many hours in a day and all that. I see why people hire virtual assistants.
  • Which goals do you need to transfer into the next quarter?
Mostly for this would be getting in a rhythm with the social media. Learning to queue posts and whatnot so it goes up at the optimum times. And also to get more lectures done in the social media course.

2. What are your goals for the next quarter?

Keeping up and completing Safari which is going on right now.
Need to get a good second draft done on my next book for publication, so I can submit it.
Find a developmental editor for that manuscript.
I have another novel scheduled for a good second draft.
I also need to do a decent first draft on the novel I worked on in Expedition, but I think that has to await for the third quarter.

3. What are your goals for this week?

Keeping up on Safari. I'm in Italy and that's about all I can do aside from enjoying this amazing country. I'm still trying to adjust circadian rhythms. I don't travel well in that respect. Ha! I don't travel well, anyway, but I do like to travel.

Hi Caren,

Your goals are wonderful! And they are doable! I know you can achieve this!

Congratulations on loosing weight! GREAT job!

Also, great job for participating in Boot Camp in February.

What was not done, you could put on your list for this next month and next quarter.

Keep up the GREAT work!

Hi Mindy,

Your goals are great and doable!

And you accomplished so much too! Keeping with Safari is a major accomplishment.

Wow! You are in Italy!!!! Unbelievable! I always wanted to go. Perhaps one day I will do an all-inclusive trip to Europe.

Take care, and keep up the great work!
