There’s usually so much to be grateful at the beginning of the spring season. There are the new plants, tree sprouts, and flowers. There is the cleaning and tidying up. And then there is the mindset of renewal.

Why not bring some of these into your writing career so that you can commit to having the best quarter ever?

There are some ways to ensure that you have the strongest second quarter. Here are a few things to consider:

1. Go back and look over your yearly goals for 2023. How many of those goals did you complete? Did you complete what you set out to do in the first quarter? If not, move those goals to the spring quarter.

2. Decide which goal(s) you will complete this quarter and write it down. Make sure that your goal is realistic and doable.

3. Break that quarterly goal into smaller, doable goals. Ideally, break up the quarterly goal(s) into monthly goals and then weekly ones. More on that below.

4. Write down your goal for April. Then break it down further by planning and scheduling what you will do every week to complete that monthly goal.

5. Then break down what you will complete every day. At the end of every week, take stock of how you did. If you completed your goal, do something nice for yourself to celebrate. Perhaps take yourself up for a coffee or meet up with a few friends.

By taking these steps, you will have a strong second quarter of 2023. Why not take the time to examine your goals and see what you can complete so that you have the strongest quarter and year.
