Hi everyone,

I just discovered on Thursday that the lesson and assignment that I posted for last week did not actually post. I did double check it too, but then it just disappeared off the forum!:(

So, in order to make up for that, I am posting a longer lesson for last week and this week. Please complete your book proposal by the end of the month, if you can. I will have a short lesson for you next week too. But it does not require any work other than apprising you to some possible problems with the proposal. More on that next week. (y)

But for now, please focus on this lesson. It is long, but the steps to create a book proposal are all there. If you have any questions, please ask by emailing me or during our coaching call.

Take care, and again, I am sorry for problem with posting last week's lesson!

Have a GREAT and productive week!
Irene

Hi Caren,

I love the topic for your book. I think it is very insightful and gripping.

As I see it, there are many ways that you could proceed with this book, and it is definitely a book that should be published. I am sure that there are publishers who would want raw and honest material like you present.

I would love to talk to you in more detail about the ways you can handle this proposal. Perhaps at our next coaching call in July?

In the meantime, I would like to leave you with a few things to think about.

1. You could turn this book into a memoir and write about this part of your life. I think it would make for a very gripping memoir. The various essays could become chapters of the memoir.

2. You could pursue this as a nonfiction book as you presume and look for publishers that love honest material like this--and they are quite a few.

As for the structure of your proposal, it is spot on! I think it is well structured. But be sure to update your book list.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Take care, and thank your for sharing such a wonderful proposal with me!
