Hi all,

I hope you had a great and productive week!

Next week, we usher in May! Where has the time gone.

As we approach the half way point in the year, please take the time to reassess your writing goals. Are you accomplishing everything that you would like? If not, please journal about what your obstacles are, and during our next coaching session, let's talk about that and brainstorm ways you could around these obstacles.

So, with this in mind, what are your goals for this week?

Also, what are your goals for next month? Please list them by responding to this thread.

Just a reminder that there won't be a separate lesson this week as last week's lesson was for two weeks. I will comment on the people who have already submitted their assignments and posted them in the forum. GREAT job ladies!!!!!

Also, my sprint schedule for next week is as follows:

Monday: 12 noon to 4 pm EST
Tuesday: 12 noon to 2.30 EST
Wednesday, 12 noon to 4 EST
Thursday-off
Friday, 12 noon to 2 pm EST
Saturday, 12 noon to 3 pm EST.

Take care, and have a great weekend and week ahead!

Wow - I can't believe it is almost May already! And that I'm at the point where I'm subbing the MS I've been working on the for the past year+. I have to admit, I'm feeling a little less focused, but also a little more relaxed, now that I'm here. Trying to sink into this new rhythm, the one that isn't dominated by the refrain: revise, revise, REVISE!

So my goals for this week are:

  1. Read the YA dystopian MS I was subbing last year from start to finish, thinking about strengths and weaknesses
  2. Submit one article to a blog or publication
  3. submit the 4 LCs MS to 3 agents
  4. start drafting next blog article for The Space Between

My goals for May are pretty similar:

  1. Decide what to do with the YA dystopian MS and START doing it!
  2. sub 1 article per week to other blogs/publications
  3. sub 3 LCs MS to 3 agents per week
  4. write something new every week - exercise or story idea drafts or short stories
