1. Finish up with the images and the citations for the February ebook, then proofread & publish that bad boy.
2. Start writing the third book in my series — focus on sensory details x 1000 words/day.
3. Finish the underline the chapter exercise. I only got about 6 pages out of 18 this last week. We did tear down, build, and seal a fence though.

I'm super bummed I went MIA here in WordWonders. This Middle Eastern History class is *killing* me. I need to spend less time complaining about it, and more time putting in the work to at least get a D, so I can get done and graduate. (I'm pretty sure since it's a general education class, I only need a D to pass. Yeah, when you get thinking about it, my college has low standards.)

Chinese Culture is going a little better, but it's an online course, and I've been getting into the bad habit of doing alllllllllll the work that's due on Sundays at midnight on Sundays.

Pretty much my whole life has been a disorganized mess since I've been too busy trying to keep up on these classes -- my biggest complaint is that it's a 1000-level course, but the professor is teaching it like a 5000-level one -- because I haven't kept to my schedule or up on my to-do and/or goal lists.

My goal for the week is to catch up here while getting ahead on Middle Eastern History and Chinese Culture.

Hi Allison,

Oh, my heart goes out to you. First of all, try not to be too hard on yourself! Its okay to fall behind.

If you need any one-on-one help, Allison, please just drop me an email at [email protected]. Otherwise, my advice would be to take it one day at a time. Write down your goal in a prominent place, that you will for example, spend 30 minutes a day catching up with this forum. Also, set a time when you will be able to work on it. Then when the time comes, unless it is an emergency or you are exhausted, just go into your quiet space or office and work on what you planned. With goal setting, you need to be as specific as possible.

I know you can do it. Just drop me an email and let me know how you are doing!

You are doing GREAT!

I'm getting back on track this week. My goal was to have the draft of my novella completed by March 3. I have lots to do if I want to make this deadline. I'm way behind at 8K out of a goal of 20K.

Hi Cynthia!

You will get back on track, I know it!

Just schedule your goals and be as specific as possible. For instance, what do you plan to achieve on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Plan each step, write it down and take it from there.

If you need help, please text me anytime.

Take care, and have a productive week!

At the start of February, my goal was to have all my revisions completed AND a query letter drafted by the end of the month. I've been making real progress, but realize now that the revisions are going to need more time to do them well. And quite honesty, the query letter...well....sigh. Not my favorite part.

That said, here are this week's goals:
Mon: Finish revisions on the magical rules -fix chapter headings & spell check
Tues: print a copy of the whole MS for a once (more) over in hard copy; submit blog article
Wed: Draft the #%&&# query letter; start reading with an eye to making sure i'm showing not telling; i've taken out redundancies; cutting a couple thousand words
Thurs: read
Fri: read

Hi Thea!

Your goals are wonderful! Just keep up the great work. These goals are doable, and you have enough space to just read and think too, which is GREAT! All readers need that!

If you need any help during the week, just email me at [email protected].

Have a productive week!
