It is Thursday already and I am tired. I haven't got hardly any words down... And I haven't made much if any progress on my goals for the month. I did eliminate one of the four areas I was struggling with focusing on for my next quarter goals.

So, let's focus in on my goals for this week and how they can tie back to my goals for the month.

Today is Thursday.

Write 500-1000 words on my WIP today.

Look on Ralan's, SubMishMash, or the submission grinder for one outlet that is accepting superhero short stories or that might be a good fit for last month's short story.

Spend ten minutes focusing on what I can do to accomplish my 'prepare for launching my superhero series' goal. I have a list of possible actions to take. So, let's work on setting frequencies and choosing the most effective options there.

Friday

500-1000 words on my WIP

Prepare any cover letter or anything else that may be required for submitting the story.

Spend ten minutes on my 'prepare for launch goal' for next quarter. Same thing, what actions am I going to take and how often? Transfer this goal into my BuJo for next quarter.

Saturday

500-1000 words on my WIP

30 minutes of revising the short story for close POV using the techniques from the advanced writing class. (I did a quick revision before, but I feel like maybe I have some more tools — or am more conscious of the tools that I have in my toolbox, lol).

Spend ten minutes on my "improve as a writer" goal, deciding what actions I am going to take and with what frequency.

Sunday

500-1000 words on my WIP.

30 minutes revising the short story for close POV using the techniques from the advanced writing class.

Spend ten minutes on my "improve as a writer" goal for next quarter. Same thing, what actions am I going to take and how often? Transfer this goal into my BuJo for next quarter. Also, define how I can measure this? Or is it enough that my actions to achieve this goal are measurable?

Hi Mel!

I'm so sorry about your issues this past week. But good for you for picking yourself up, brushing up and getting going.

Please let me know if you would like to discuss your issues at any length.

We could set up a coaching session, or just stop by during the day when I am sprinting and I will talk anytime.

Take care,
Irene
