I hope you had a productive week, ladies! The first week of November is over!! Wow!!!

What are your goals for this week?

I did okay last week - I made a start on a short story. last week's goal was to write every day, which I almost managed. This week, my goal is to write every day and continue working on the short story plus redevelop the outline for my novella and, if I have time, continue working on that.

I was in shock last week with my new job assignment and …. my computer crashed. I brought it home repaired last Saturday and am rebuilding my momentum up again this week. I wrote last night 2.5 hours and am happy to report 1,039 words ….. it's working !!

My chapters are 15 pages on average. Quick Calc: 15 p X 300 wds /pg = 4,500 words per chapter (on average). I plan to write 600 words per hour.
This week my modified NaNoWriMo writing schedule is as follows as I get 'back into the saddle' :

Tues 11/10 - Write 2.5 hours - Ch 3 Bk3 (1,039 words)
Wed 11/11 - Write 1.5 hours - Ch 3 Bk3 (600 words)
Thur 11/12 - Write 1.5 hours - Ch 3 Bk3 (900 words)
Fri 11/13 - Write 1.5 hours - Ch 3 Bk3 (900 words)
Sat 11/14 - Write 3.0 hours - Finish Ch 3 Bk3 (1,800 words)

Hello! Well, this has been a busy start of the month with work-and-family, more than I anticipated!

Last week:
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2nd:
Monday: connect with recent workshop classmates - email correspondence - check
Simple Week Goal: rewrite opening ch. #1 (2 scenes) + make clarity/character/subplot revisions to first 4-7 chapters, in line with updated 'premise'/pitch - done
Major changes - decided against doing any of these! Went in a different direction with my revisions.
- added subplots and previously-deleted scenes, rather than cutting episodes!
- decided to keep my unreliable POV narrators
End-of-week goal: send 50+ pages & synopsis for a special critique on Sun 11/8 - done
Stretch goal: prep first half of book (~45K/16 chapters) for this special critique - done
Skipped - virtual writer-group meetings
11/8 - critique swap - postponed to next week
