Pitch Your Book to Amy Durant, Editorial Director at Sapere Books – 2019 Horror Pitchfest

*Pitch opens: October 23 2019 9:00am*
*
Pitch closes: October 25, 2019  11:59pm*

*All times are in EST

Currently looking for:

Crime Fiction (Historical and Modern), Thrillers (including Psychological), Historical Fiction (including Saga), Military Fiction (particularly Historical), Women’s Fiction and Romance (Historical and Modern).

We are particularly keen on books in a series, and we usually don’t take on an author unless they have three books nearly ready to submit – or they have written the first book in a series and have the next couple planned out. We publish backlist as well as frontlist, so we are happy to hear from authors who have written books in the past and now have the rights back. We are especially keen to sign some more Historical Naval Thrillers, Tudor Historical Fiction, Medieval Historical Fiction, and Timeshift Novels with a strong historical narrative.

What I’m not looking for:

Poetry, Short Stories, Children’s Fiction, YA, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror or Literary Fiction.

About Sapere Books:

Sapere Books is a digital-first publisher, specialising in strong genre fiction and books in a series. The company launched in 2018 and now has a list of 40 authors. We are not looking to grow our list much further at the moment, as we have lots of fantastic books and authors we are already working with, but if a submission comes in that stops me in my tracks and ticks all the right boxes, we’ll find a way to make space for that author! We pride ourselves on our cutting-edge digital marketing strategies, our stand-out covers and our extensive editorial work. You can find our more here: saperebooks.com

About Amy Durant:

I am the Co-Founder and Editorial Director of Sapere Books. I manage the full editorial process from reading submissions, through to the first developmental edits and the final copyedit. My Twitter account is @savingbooks and the company Twitter account is @saperebooks.
