Kathy Otten's class: The People We Meet: Using Body Language to Convey Emotions

SavvyAuthors hit a grand slam in one of its classes! When I saw Kathy Otten's class "The People We Meet" scheduled on the workshop calendar, I jumped to enroll. Her class syllabus sounded so tempting, but I kept my fingers crossed, just in case. I need not have worried. :) Kathy's techniques for enriching our characters and the plot itself by using body language to convey emotions enabled me to revamp scenes from a very old WIP. I signed up for the course when my writing energy was dead in the water. Kathy's a miracle worker! Her class exercises ignited my creativity. The words flowed. She made me love writing again. If she asked me to sell my first-born to the gypsies, I would! (Although I can imagine the reaction from my 29-year-old daughter when I say, "Pack your bags. You're relocating." Her husband's reaction, too.) :D

I'm using a bit of silliness because I can't begin to say how much I enjoyed and benefited from Kathy's class. She gave me HOPE, and that is priceless. I am itching to tackle all my WIPs and apply Kathy's writing techniques. Thanks, Kathy! And thanks, SavvyAuthors!

All the best from one extremely satisfied customer,

Hi everyone!!!!

I was referred to this site by a friend and I'm so happy I decided to join. Everything I have seen so far, I've liked and I can't wait to start the classes, workshops and meet everyone!!

So allow me to introduce myself. I'm J.M. Walker. *waves*
I've been writing for almost 4 years. Wow. Time flies. And I've loved every minute of it and have learned so much but want to learn more. I crave it. Lol.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll see you around on here I'm sure!

Hi There!

I am new to this site. I have been a teacher for 12 years and while I have been wanting to write for many years, it is always hard to teach and write at the same time. This last summer, I finally got a spark for an idea and I have spent this last school year plotting out and figuring out the world. I believe it would fall under Urban Fantasy Romance. I have just started writing. Anyone looking for a CP, give me a holler.

Greetings!

Hello everyone! I just signed up on the site. I'm teaching a workshop later this month about how to get legally free images and decided I really should become a member too. I look forward to meeting new people -- and running into some old acquaintances too, I'm sure. Anna Durand is my pen name; I write steamy romances about everything from psychics and fairies to Chicago firefighters and hot Scots. So far, I've written paranormal and contemporary erotic stories, but I'm just starting my first time travel historical.

I also offer cataloging services to indie authors and publishers through my company Five Rainbows Cataloging Services, and I have a master's in library science.

I look forward to getting to know all the SavvyAuthors here!

Sincerely,
Anna

New here!

Hi, my name is Tari. I live in the Los Angeles South Bay. I wrote freelance for magazines and newspapers for about 15 years. My three sons are suddenly grown and on their own, and I'm happy to be writing fiction. I'm currently working on a novel set here in Los Angeles during the 1920's. First draft is complete and I'm now revising. I look forward to learning and making new writer friends here!
