Craft Wrong Character, Right Story with Jodi Henley

Wonderful class! I enjoy the way she combines several teaching methods (book excerpts, movie clips, personal observations) to show the concepts she's teaching. Awesome at answering questions and giving suggestions. Hope she continues to do more classes.

Jodi is amazing! Not only did she do a great job instructing the class, but she also kept it fun and interesting. I learned several new concepts and, thanks to Jodi's suggestions, was able to outline my entire manuscript. I appreciated how she invested much time and thought in our stories to help make them the best they could be. I've already told her she earned a mention on my book's dedication page.

Jodi's classes never disappoint. She has a unique ability to get down to so many different levels that everyone gains lessons for a lifetime of writing. Also, she gives so much time and attention to homework its amazing.

Fantastic class. It took my evaluation of each scene and of the emotional aspects of my writing to a higher, new level. Although short in time span, it was as strong as a boxer's punch as far as concentrated power in the form of knowledge. The class did not disappoint, since was filled with much useful information in addition to an instructor who was helpful, available, and enthusiastic to give feedback and answer questions. She also offered a free kindle book based on the course subject, Definitely worth registering! Don't miss out.

Very disappointing. Over three days there were only two lessons, which were poorly organized and explained. Nor was content related to overall story. Instructor was responsive to queries about story ideas.

I hadn't heard of 'emotional structure' before (other than thinking of the MC's main arc) and I found the exercise very valuable. Jodi's feedback was generous and helpful.

Brilliant workshop from Jodi. It's given me valuable insight for bringing emotional resonance to my MS. The exercises helped me dive right in and work out how to make improvements, and her feedback was so detailed and useful. I'll be looking out for her future courses.
