Delaney Hart had three things figured out: her apartment, her coffee shop shift, and the fact that her supernatural sensitivity test came back a very reassuring white. No powers. No obligations. No government-mandated hazmat suit.
Then a letter slides under her door at 6:47 a.m. and ruins all of it.
Drafted into the Incident Cleanup Squad under something called the Supernatural Coexistence Act, Delaney finds herself partnered with her undead best friend, assigned to crime scenes she was never supposed to see, and apparently in possession of an ability her test missed entirely: she can absorb the final memories of the dead.
The cases are escalating. The victims all knew their killers. And every time Delaney touches a scene, she carries a little more of someone else home with her.
The worst part isn't the job. It's that she's starting to be good at it.
