I just signed a contract for a short story with Hoosier Noir magazine. "Sweet Annie," a gritty story featuring Detective Nick Alexander, will be published (hopefully) by the end of the month! It's my first publication of a short story that wasn't published in my local chapter of Sisters in Crime or donated for charity. I'm really excited to be included in this venue and to be selected by someone who doesn't know me!

I haven't signed the contract yet, but my ghost story, The Mystery of the Mirror, will be published in Speed City Sisters in Crime Halloween anthology, coming this September.

Congrats, to you, too, Caren! I don't have the patience to write a novel. That's why I do the short stories.

I just sold two more short stories. One, "The Parrot from Primrose Lane" will be included in an anthology to benefit a humane society and will be out later this year. "Lizards and Other Varmints" will be published in another anthology that will come out the end of this year or the beginning of 2022. I've been on a high so far this year!

My short story, “Boys and Other Toys,” was published August 16th in between the covers – An Adult Romance Anthology, part of the Red Penguin Collection. "Boys and Other Toys" is a sweet, humorous story about what happens when a young man mistakenly opens a plain brown package intended for his new neighbor - a young woman he's interested in - and comes face to face with a raunchy sex toy. It's the lead story in the anthology, so I'm pretty excited about that!

My short story “The Mystery of the Mirror” in Trick or Treats: Tales of All Hallows’ Eve, a mystery anthology published by Speed City Sisters in Crime, came out August 15th. Celebrating the ancient tradition of Samhain in Ireland changes from fun to fearful when the veil is lifted between the worlds and a ghost enters.

I received one request for my novel from Pitchfest! That's pretty good since I could only write three sentences. I call that a win. :)
Absolutely Eliza!! Congrats!!!
