I'm streamlining my goals for now:
I'm tracking my hits and "near misses" every day, on the fridge. I believe if I keep at pretty-much one book at a time it will be in significantly better shape by the end of the month.

Also, now that's Irene's upping the blog ante I'll also get a post done by this Sunday, Jan 17th, then sketch out the other 3 for the month.

I just finished up an intensive writing class I hosted. 5 days. Grueling, but tons of fun.

I need to edit my manuscript for the publisher, so no original writing for this week. Plenty of editing.
Mindy, that sounds pretty cool. Maybe consider hosting a chat on a Wednesday night (if you are available) and tell us how you set it up, what it's like to participate. I've always wanted to try one. Good luck with your editing!

Sorry, if this is obvious to everyone but me, but where is the weekly check-in to post for the week? Or is it here? :coffee:
I just posted it Caren. Somehow the system wouldn't let me post anything yesterday...:(

Let me know if you can't find it.

Question -- what/where are the mini writing challenges?

Hi there,

I love your goals! They are definitely doable!

I love your personal goals too! They are also doable!

We set up a mini-challenge with the group where you would choose a PET project to write on. Basically for the mini-writing challenge, I ask that you:

  • choose a small writing goal that you would like to complete;
  • decide on a word count that you could achieve along with your other goals;
  • schedule a time to complete your small goal every day;
  • try not to miss a day--the goal is to write EVERY day--so choose a very small word count that you are sure to be able to achieve;
  • post your mini-goal in the mini-goal thread (It is on the main page)--let me know if you cannot find it.
And that is it!

Have fun!

Hi Lauri!

I love your goals. They are doable, but YES hard! But I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!(y) Think of how happy you will be without all that fast food in your system.
