Happy Monday!

We hope you are enjoying the new updates and you've checked out our on-demand video classes, lecture packages, and new groups. As March fast approaches and hopefully winter leaves, it's time for another contest. :)

Post your opening three sentences in your current work-in-progress for a chance to win a VIP subscription.

Contest will remain open until Sunday March 2nd at 11:59 p.m. EST. Members will vote on their favorite entry.

Please email us if you have any questions. We can't wait to see what you come up with! :)

Thanks!

Oh Fun!
Here's my first three:

You’ve gotta be kidding me.

Bishop watched a tiny brunette chase down the man he had been hunting for a month. Not that she had a chance of catching him.

Between the thick limestone pillars at the far end of the castle’s grand hall, a sinister creature lurked, its iridescent eyes ablaze as it fixated on my every move. Not hiding; rather, it mocked me with its flagrant presence.

A shiver ran through me.

My opening 3 lines for an urban fantasy novel I'm currently writing:

My name is Agent Russell Donaldson, FBI. I believe in three things: my God, my country, and the magic of Disney; and that’s the only magic I’ll ever believe in. I have served my country loyally and without hesitation, just like my father before me and his father before him. Semper Fi!

These are the three opening sentences from my contemporary heist:

Nothing ever happened on a Tuesday, yet Jackie Kever’s olfactory nerves tingled, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.
“Ozone?” There had been no electrical discharges in the atmosphere to produce it. She replaced her stainless-steel nose ring and cautiously entered the pub, foreknowing something would take place.
