We all seem to be so distracted nowadays. We are always searching for things, and we can’t really find an overwhelming purpose for our writing lives. This is probably because we aren’t fully aware of what our vision is for our writing career, nor what our three primary goals are for the year.
If I have coached you in the mentoring program for a while, you know I spend a lot of time talking about focus and how to keep your eyes on your main goals. There’s a reason for this. If you don’t, you will let all kinds of obstacles impede your success as a writer.
I know that we all have so much on our plates right now. The pandemic seems to be rearing its ugly head with a new sub-variant that is even more infectious, so the experts say. A lot of us are without jobs or financial security. There are the regular health issues as well-things that will trip us up every time. How can we keep our mind focused on all of this going on?
Well, I believe its to stay super-focused on your goals. But before you can be focused on your goals, you must know what your goals are, both your long-term goals and your short-term goals. To do so, you must constantly assess and monitor how you are doing, not to berate yourself if you haven’t completed your goals, but as a way of making sure that tomorrow and next week is better than last week if it was fractured and stressful.
There are only 10 more days in April, and then we will be entering the second month of the second quarter of the year. This means that we are moving towards the middle of 2022. Time is indeed flying. Are your goals getting done? If not, what can you do in the next few days to remedy that? If you are stuck, please reach out to me and let’s set up a coaching session to discuss what your obstacles are. Then I will help you get right back on track.
Let’s have a productive ten days, ladies! You deserve to start April with a real bang!
Until Next Time!
