week’s forum thread by Sunday if you wish:

Do you find that when you are just about to sit down to write you have so many other things to do except write, such as organize files or books?

Yes, always. But, I have myself to blame most of the time. I like a tidy place to write and if it looks like a bomb when off, I feel I need to get it tidied up to write freely.

  • What steps can you take not to waste time? Can you make use of any of the tips suggested in Habit #1?
  • I need to assign people chores to keep there areas clean so that they don't spell over into mine.
  • Do you feel sorry for yourself occasionally? Why do you indulge in self-pity when you do?
  • I try not. This year has been my most difficult year. I'm still struggling to find my way out of it in the midst of more medical chaos, but I do know that once I start to say 'woe is me' the battle is pretty much over.
  • Can you use any of the tips to avoid self-pity in habit #2?
  • Sure can. Focus on gratitude.
  • Do you shy away from change? Why?
  • I do. I'm currently working on that, and that is something that may take more tim.
  • Do you focus on things that you can control in your writing career? What are some things that you can control? What is not in your control? My word count. Times that I write. Things I can't control is if someone likes my book or my genre.
