Course Goals: By the end of this course students will:
- Feel empowered to write short stories and novel length projects in 1st person POV.
- Understand the benefits and drawbacks of writing in 1st person.
- Have tools to determine if 1st person POV is the best fit for their project.
- Have practiced extensively writing in 1st person POV.
Week One:
- Point of View: An Exploration
- 1st Person POV: Inside Your Character’s Head
- Benefits and Drawbacks of 1st Person POV
Week Two:
- Multiple 1st Person POV
- Adapting 3rd to 1st
- Picking the Right Character
- Class Format
