Your book is finished, and you are eager to get your work in front of agents for a chance at representation. You’ve done several rounds of revisions and you feel great about the manuscript, but will an agent? Will a publisher? This may be your one shot. So, how do you make sure you submit your most captivating submission package possible?
A submission package typically consists of a query letter, the first ten pages of your manuscript, and sometimes a synopsis. But with agents receiving hundreds of submissions a month, how can you be sure your book will not only get noticed, but have that wow factor?
Katie McCoach, developmental editor and book coach, takes you through the core elements that will take your submission package from “will consider” to “MUST HAVE NOW.” She’ll not only discuss the must-dos and the must-nots, but also what makes an agent compelled to read more and how to apply that to your work. Many of Katie’s authors have had success getting requests from agents, offers of rep, and even pub deals. You may even have seen a few of her authors’ titles in the recent SavvyAuthors PitchFest.

- Savvy Authors' workshops are held on a forum: a bulletin board based system. You will receive a reminder notice one day prior to the start of the workshop that includes instructions on how to access the workshop forum. If you have not received instructions by the day the workshop begins, please check your spam filter.
The forum will be available the morning (EST) of the day the workshop starts and will remain accessible to all participants thereafter. You will also be given simple instructions on how to create a PDF of all your discussions along with our privacy and data retention policy.
