Plot+Scenes=Emotional Arc with Hank Quense

Plot-Structure-GMC Plot+Scenes=Emotional Arc with Hank Quense

I enjoyed this class. Before taking it I did not completely understand mind-mapping, but Hank explained it in a way, it now makes sense and I will use it to plot my next novel. I would have liked to have had lessons/assignments to go along with this course. That way, we could practice what he was teaching while class was in session. I have requested his book on the subject and look forward to diving into this method even more. Definitely a course I recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about mind-mapping.
Re the mind-mapping class. If you know nothing about mind maps, this class might be useful to you. I had hoped to learn about how to use my existing knowledge for writing, so found the documents less useful as I'd already stumbled upon a similar use. I think the documents would be far more helpful if the maps were from a book we might all recognize, rather than his own fantasy novel that is difficult to follow (any unfamiliar novel would be difficult to follow for this application). I got through all the documents in under 20 minutes btw, so for the $25 you might be better off buying his book.
Very informative and specific. Information that can be put into use right away.
Say the word marketing and my mind turns to white noise. Hank's course really helps to give some solid guidance on what to do and what not to it. Full of lots of practical steps and practical information, I feel better equipped to tackle this subject after being a part of this course.
Always informative! So much information! I’ve always enjoyed the way he teaches, so much information on how to self market!
The information was straightforward. I had hoped this class would have more about formatting-for-publication, but one never knows until one gets into the class itself what will actually be covered/presented. My 3-Star rating is not because of the information in the class. It is because I found it out-of-place for the instructor to use the class as a platform for soliciting members for his street team for his upcoming release.
This is based on material I received later. I think the lecture had a very interesting perspective. However, I had trouble connecting because it wanted a different browser than I normally use, and the sound was so bad I quit almost immediately. A specific browser could be suggested (it may have been, I just saw the link and clicked it). I don't know what can be done to improve the garbled sound.

Hi Yves, we are really sorry for the technical problems. Super frustrating all around since our amazing moderator Sahara had a test session with Hank earlier in the day and all was perfect! Ah technology! Please do check out the clean recording! Best
Leslie
The audio was awful, and it was hard to follow, but beyond that, there wasn't enough depth or specifics for me. Being shown examples from literature might have made stronger points. I was unconvinced that each character should only evoke one emotion for the entire novel.

Hi Hollie, we are truly sorry for the technical issues. We actually did test it! Our amazing moderator, Sahara, had a session with Hank earlier in the morning and as fate would have it, everything was perfect! We know this was frustrating for all. Sometimes the Gods of the internet are not happy. Please do come back and check out the clean recording! Best, Leslie
In addition to sound problems, the presenter seemed a bit scattered in his presentation.

Hi Joan, Thanks for your comment. We apologize for the technical difficulties. We will have a clean recording available later this week. Thanks for attending. ~ RJ
Very good show! Informative & entertaining... (And as I've communicated to both Mr. Quense and your team, the audio and/or video might be tested prior to the seminar for full enjoyment by all -- is all!)

Thanks again and look forward to more!

Best of Regards, Be Safe & Well,

--B.
