Midpoint is one of the most important parts of a story arc. It’s a huge ‘push point,’ where all the threads of your story come together to ‘push’ the character and plot towards a rousing Act III.

Do you know how to give your story that ‘push’? Do you know how to craft a midpoint that puts readers on the edge of their seats and drives the story through to The End?

USA Today bestselling author & owner of Romance Writing Lab, Kris Kennedy, will show you how!
In this fast-paced, fun workshop, we’ll cover the defining feature of all compelling midpoints, no matter the genre. We’ll go over the key elements to crafting a powerful midpoint, and show you exactly how to push your character out of their comfort zone…into change. We’ll dig in even deeper to uncover exactly how character arcs work at midpoint, so you can give your story the power it needs to drive through to The End. And we’ve got tons of special tips for how to work with midpoint for all the romance writers out there!

Get clarity about what you really need to be doing at midpoint, and concrete strategies on how to do it.

Very informative class, highly recommend. Now I want to attend another workshop by Kris.
I've had a number of plotting courses but this speaker proved that there is always more to learn. The webinar was engaging and the examples used illustrated the points made. My understanding of midpoint has increased. The webinar resonated with me and will be helpful as I revise my manuscript.
This was incredibly helpful for me and very detailed, with great examples. I didn't realize that what I thought might be secondary or even third-stage inciting incident or turning point was actually my midpoint. I thought midpoints were supposed to be a lot more boring and on-a-long-journey than that, so now I feel like I have a clearer perspective on where I am and what needs to happen in my next scene. I appreciated the acknowledgement of character arc alternatives as well, since so many people just throw those out as bad writing even though people do them intentionally sometimes.
This webinar was excellent and chock full of plenty of useful tips to help get through the midpoint of any story. I highly recommend it if it is ever offered again.
Despite reading Save the Cat and other books on structure, I've never had such a helpful explanation of the midpoint. It crystallised what I need to do at the halfway point. I left the mini-intensive inspired and fired up with ideas for how to approach it in my current manuscript. Thank you Kris!
So much info! Kris is a great speaker and answered a lot of questions. Great webinar!
Lots of great insights. Kris Kennedy threw down gold. Lots of it. Many times, in throw away comments. Worth watching more than once.
I very much enjoyed this clear, conversational, and well-organized presentation.
I was pretty sure I had a good grasp on what a midpoint was, but Kris provided so valuable pro tips and what I consider a "midpoint checklist," that I now feel far more confident in how I will craft my midpoint to make it more powerful. I highly recommend Kris for her highly engaging presentations and her clear expertise. Thank you, Kris!
