Goal, Motivation and Conflict are building blocks for storytelling. This workshop will break down GMC as it applies to the internal, the external and romantic goals, motivations and conflicts for your story.
Starting with internal goals, then adding external goals for your main characters to see how they work together. Then the final layer, romantic goals which should intersect with what the character wants internally and externally.
We’ll be looking at motivation and conflict in the same way for the three areas. Then, we’ll see how they are all connected.

- Goals – defining inner, outer and romantic goals for your main characters.
- Motivation – defining the inner, outer and romantic motivations for your main characters.
- Conflict – defining the inner, outer and romantic conflicts that stand between your characters and what they desire.
- How backstory can be layered with your GMC building blocks.
