Painters have to have gallery openings, movie actors have to go on talk shows, and writers -- well writers have to sell their books. Fortunately, unlike painters and actors, dancers and musicians, we have many of the basic skills used by marketing professionals - creative thinking, storytelling, and basic writing skills. We just need to learn how to use those skills in a different way. This might now make it any more fun, but it may take the sting out of the process.
