Mixing Murder & Magic: Writing The Urban Fantasy P.I. to Life with Beth Daniels

Genre Mixing Murder & Magic: Writing The Urban Fantasy P.I. to Life with Beth Daniels

Bio
Beth Daniels (who writes under four names) not only spends a lot of time with Bram Farrell these days spinning Raven Tales novels and novellas but with new sets of characters all with comedic chips on their shoulders and good crime solving habits. What appeals most to her about the fantasy detective genre niche is the demands it makes on her imagination. Not happy with things like vampires, weres, and zombies, she prefers to populate her living (and deceased or needs to be deceased) cast with beings from the supernatural and legendary legions as well as the usual paranormals. And that means thinking up new ways to kill things not of this world…usually. If her house was haunted when she moved in, the ghosts would have packed up and headed for the light at the end of the street (possibly a more ghost friendly location) rather than serve as subjects for dissecting for a story. Author of so many novel, novella and short story titles now that she gets tired counting them, Beth just keeps adding to the tally instead.
