Jackie Kruzie is a Literary Associate with Focused Artists open to queries in adult and children’s fiction across multiple genres.

In Adult fiction, she likes supernatural and paranormal stories where characters must keep their abilities hidden as they strive to right wrongs and exist in a world where fear of the unknown and misunderstood is prevalent. In all genres, she enjoys stories with a romantic element when budding romances develop organically.

In Children’s fiction, she likes fast-paced humorous picture books that entertain without being didactic. In Middle Grade, the sky is the limit! She is looking for stories that are pure fun and create lifelong readers. In Young Adult, she wants books that tackle tough topics and speak to those who feel invisible.

Jackie has a master’s degree in library science and as a former librarian and current literacy advocate, she knows the positive impact books have on an individual and a community. She has taught numerous workshops on writing and literacy at writing and library conferences nationwide and is eager to usher relevant high-quality books to eager readers.

She is a writer in her own right, and the author of The Lousy Layup, a graphic novel published by Capstone Publishing, and a contributing chapter in Serving Patrons with Disabilities published by The American Library Association. Her chapter titled Talk With Me received national recognition and was featured in American Libraries Magazine.
