Kiana Berkman is an educator and author of "Homestretch," a short story about a family of refugees. She lives in Orange County, and graduated from the University of California, Irvine, where she studied Chemistry, Anthropology and Education. When Kiana is not teaching or writing, she spends her summers hiking and camping with her two children and husband.
