For decades I started projects and put them to the side. As a teenager, it was poetry; in college, it was fiction. Lately, it's screenplays, a few memoiresque rants, and several drafted ideas. Some finished, some not. As a former English teacher, I've read enough great writing to appreciate the journey as much as the outcome.

My dream of being a published author began in earnest January 2023 with my first book about a cynical protagonist who could not see her dream boyfriend right in front of her if he bit her nose. A sort of spicy, found family, strong females, forced proximity, dual pov, slow burn, baseball, counseling, contemporary sports romance.

Mostly a pantser with some pre plotting work to start, I got stuck in the middle of the story in late August. By September I was back in it and ended in December with 110,000 words. I know!

I hope to craft my author profile while not getting too ahead of myself. Starting a newsletter and pushing my author self out there is intimidating but I'm ready.
