Novels are about confrontation and that involves stress, conflict, and tension. These necessary ingredients are impossible to incorporate unless the writer fills the pages with character emotions – those emotions constantly in conflict. The core of our story is emotion. Emotive conflict is the secret to writing a page-turning, dynamic, bring-me-more type of novel. Our character’s reaction to the happenings around her is emotion.
This workshop uses hands-on exercises and lecture to apply character emotions and symbol triggers to show a true character. Handouts provided.
