Pamela Jaye Smith is a mythologist, writer, international story consultant and speaker, and award-winning writer-producer-director with over three decades in the media industry. She authored The Power of the Dark Side, Inner Drives, Symbols-Images-Codes, Beyond the Hero’s Journey, Show Me the Love!
and a movie guide, Romantic Comedies: These Films Can Save Your Love Life.
Her company MYTHWORKS offers ‘Applied Mythology for a Better Reality’ and she works with writers to bring the power of myth to all their stories using Mythic Themes, Archetypes, and Symbols.
Pamela Jaye has taught writing at Romance Writers of America, Savvy Authors on-line, UCLA Extension Writers Program, USC, RAI-TV Rome, Nat'l Film Institute of Denmark, LA WebFest and Marseille WebFest, and many more. Credits include Microsoft, Fox, Disney, Paramount, Universal, GM, Boeing, the US Army and the FBI. Pamela Jaye is also a co-founder of the Alpha Babe Academy and of Mythic Challenges: Create Stories that Change the World.
She judges prose and script writing contests, including for the Jaipur India International Film Festival. Her script The Cuban Circuit
was a winner at the Bahamas International Film Festival and her short stories have placed in the quarter- and semi-finals of the ScreenCraft contest.

She is pleased to be one of four members of the Think Tank for Storytelling
for Social Profit, including story guru John Truby, event producer Laura Leigh Clarke, and Tom Chi, former head of development at Google X. Pamela Jaye gave a presentation on Romantic Comedies and the ArchePaths at the South by SouthWest conference in Austin Texas in 2017.
