Voice on the Page with Shelley Souza

Webinar Voice on the Page with Shelley Souza

Shelley Souza trained as a theatre director in England before moving to the United States in 1981. She developed and staged new works by emerging and established playwrights for over twenty years in New York and California.
Her knowledge of actors and playwrights, together with her experience as a writer, facilitates her work with writers of all levels to bring their voice to the page.
She has written articles about new technology (which she loves). She ghostwrote four books. She mentored Julie T. Lamana when Julie drafted her manuscript to submit to Adam’s Literary for representation of her debut novel Upside Down in the Middle of Nowhere, now in its second printing (Chronicle, 2014, 2015). The Times of India wrote of Shelley's tribute to her parents, “Shelley writes with an honesty that is rare and tender. She must be applauded for her honesty and her integrity in telling the tale.” She is currently working on a book, of which she will say more when it’s further along.
Shelley holds an MFA in theatre directing from the University of California at Irvine and a joint honours BA from the University of Warwick in English, American, and European Literature, and Theatre Studies.
She is a member of the Authors Guild and lives with her Bengal cat Zuli Souza on the upper east side of New York.
